Our Concerts
What sets the Las Vegas Symphony Orchestra apart from other orchestras across the country is that most of our concerts are uniquely crafted right here in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Symphony Orchestra’s performances are primarily developed by our CEO, Shea Arender, who has also served as a creative director and consultant for international orchestral programs. Each of our concerts is distinctively our own, unlike any other orchestra in the United States.

Creative Visionaries
Think of any iconic band, like The Beatles, where the synergy between two key members—Paul McCartney and John Lennon—became the heartbeat of their success. That same dynamic exists between Shea Arender and Steve Rawlins. Since the mid-2000s, these two have been a powerhouse duo, first working together as the arranger and co-arranger for the Harold Arlen estate musical (composer of the Wizard of Oz), “The Wonderful Wizard of Song” Their partnership has only grown stronger over the years, with countless projects and shows to their name.
Now, they’ve taken the reins of the Las Vegas Symphony Orchestra, injecting a fresh, modern energy into the symphonic world. Much like a rock band evolving its sound, Shea and Steve bring an exciting, bold approach to the orchestra, breaking free of traditional expectations and creating something new. Their combined history of success and creative chemistry promises an unforgettable experience for audiences, blending the excitement of a rock show with the depth of a symphonic performance.
Shea Arender: CEO
Shea Arender is a distinguished figure in the music world, celebrated for his artistic vision and exceptional leadership. As the CEO and owner of the Las Vegas Symphony Orchestra, Shea has transformed the organization with groundbreaking programming and dynamic performances. He is also the composer behind all of the orchestra’s original music, including two cinematic-themed albums. His deep passion for music has driven the creation of innovative productions such as *Shea Arender’s Elvis Journey*, a Grammy Awards® contender for 2024, and *Sons of Mozart*. With a career that spans entertainment, production, and entrepreneurship, Shea has positioned the Las Vegas Symphony Orchestra as a leading force in the symphonic pops genre, captivating audiences around the globe.
Steve Rawlins: Music Director
Steve Rawlins, a legendary conductor and renowned arranger for the Academy Awards and Emmy Award ceremonies, has also lent his talents to a wide array of television shows, including *The Crazy Ones*, *24*, and *Jeopardy!*. His performances have taken him across the U.S. and internationally, with notable appearances at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. As a music director, Rawlins has worked with numerous artists and productions, including collaborations with the Las Vegas Symphony Orchestra, enhancing its dynamic and versatile performances.
